Come il sé viene alla mente (sul nuovo libro di Antonio Damasio)
Abstract
The recent book of Antonio Damasio entitled Self Comes to Mind, not yet translated in Italian, is reviewed. Particular attention is paid to the novelties introduced by the author eleven years after the publication of his previous book on the same subject. Some views of the author are analyzed and critically discussed in the light of recent achievements of neuroscience. Agreement and disagreement regarding the mechanisms of brain-activity synchronization are enlightened and briefly commented.
