«In principio era l’emozione». Per una lettura della teoria di Antonio Damasio
Abstract
This writing aims, first of all, to offer a reconstruction of Damasio‟s theory of emotions. The subsequent critical analysis of such theory will show that, beyond its huge gains, Damasio‟s approach still presents a residual dualism, whose origin lays – as it will be hypothesized – in an oversight of the notion of „form‟. In order to overcome such dualism a different set of categories is therefore required: as the essay will suggest, the notion of lógoi énuloi from Aristotle‟s De anima can be a helpful and fruitful one.
